European based technology manufacturer is looking for an experienced risk focused internal controller to implement and oversee a Risk Compliance programme across their Chinese operations and around Asia.

The company has been growing their Chinese sales and distribution operations over the last few years and now have a number of branch operations across the country selling and distributing their specialist products. 

We are looking for a skilled individual to develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures tailored to the group sales subsidiary's operations in China and Asia.

In this role you will be focused on conducting risk-oriented checks to ensure compliance with established requirements, investigating compliance violations and implementing corrective actions as well as providing guidance and training to sales teams and managers on compliance requirements including anti-corruption laws, competition laws, and trade regulations etc.

You will of course conduct regular compliance assessments to identify risks and non-compliance areas and develop strategies to address deficiencies, as well as staying updated on laws and regulations regulatory changes and providing guidance to all the employees on compliance and internal controls matters.

Candidates are likely to have around 4-7 years’ experience gained working in risk, internal controls or compliance arena either from a consulting (big 4) background or from a  commercial group – ideally with some experience within sales/ distribution arena. 

Candidates must have fluent English and Mandarin. Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls and ability to perform risk assessments  is welcomed as is an understanding of Chinese regulatory requirements, particularly in areas such as anti-corruption, competition, and trade laws.
