International US industrial group with 200 facilities worldwide and over 10,000 employees, is looking for an experienced Senior level International Accountant to help oversee accounting projects across their International network of subsidiaries – largely around the EMEA region. Based in Manchester, UK
The role will be focused on cooperation with local finance teams on the monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, preparing reporting packages in accordance with US GAAP and company policies based on local GAAP etc.
You will report and o support international projects with the International Director Accounting, based in Germany, to ensure the smooth running of the implementation of new accounting policies as well as overseeing numerous process improvement projects.
This will involve you identifying opportunities to streamline and standardize accounting processes as well as overseeing/supervising Internal controls improvement internationally.
Candidates could have a number of years’ experience gained from an external audit firm, perhaps now at a manager level or have had a mix of audit and accounting experience within a corporation.
Strong working knowledge in IFRS; US-GAAP and SOX knowledge is a plus.
Hands-on mentality with the ability to work in a fast paced changing multinational environment is key as is the possession of strong communication & interpersonal skills in order to oversee projects with key stakeholders across the group.
